FIR Labour Relations Ltd. acts as sponsor of the industry negotiated dental plan for USW employees ; there are no joint trustees. The Plan coverage is 80% approved schedule of fees for Basic Dental Services, 60% approved schedule of fees for Prosthetics, Crowns and Bridges, and 60% approved schedule of fees for Orthodontics (up to a lifetime maximum amount of $2500 for adults and $3,000 for children.)

There is an Administrative Services contract with Pacific Blue Cross, who administer the various features of the Plan, receiving employer contributions, investing the funds, and paying out claims to employees.
